Jennifer Burton is a mother, dancer, and writer currently working towards her BFA in Dance with a special interest in ballet pedagogy, contemporary choreography, and Arabic folk dance. Burton began her ten-year career in journalism as an intern at the El Paso Times from 1999-2000. Nathan Stell is a native of El Paso and began his artistic life in the womb listening to his older brother play violin. At the age of three, Nathan started taking lessons himself and since then has been a student of music in general, studying various instruments and instructing others on violin guitar piano and voice. He studied and majored in music and theatre at Notre Dame and the University of El Paso and recently began his graduate studies in Pastoral Ministry at Fordham

Carambola is led by Maria McCullough and Yahví Pichardo, longtime educators and practitioners of community music. This pair learned and taught together at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago for over 10 years. Maria and Yahví fell in love with El Paso and the Southwest after participating in Basketball in the Barrio over the last three years.
